Edge, Power & Stride (EPS)

These high energy classes are for rep players & those house players wanting to try out for rep. The focal point in this class is to develop proper skating technique and not meant as a Conditioning Class. The Elite Skating team are specialists in teaching open hips & V-diamond stride technique. The focus is solely on developing proper skating skills & teaching players the theory behind the skills & technique to better identify with the power behind the mechanics of edge, power & stride. The theory is to begin by reducing the players’ speed by teaching them the correct way of skating. Shortly thereafter, the player is brought back up to speed; at which time we add the puck. stride. The outcome: Players will learn to develop an elongated stride, use less energy at top speed and become faster, more efficient players!
